A BSc in Fisheries (BMU) turned Shemul into an ocean-data researcher — now an RA at the Hydro-Climate and Ocean Center, where he applies ML to satellite and ecological data.

As a full-time, hybrid software engineer there, Shemul built a deep-learning model for disease detection from X-ray images using pretrained networks, plus time-series forecasting models, and frontend & backend web apps with Next.js, Motion, PayloadCMS, Django, and Celery.
